The National Art Honor Society welcomed six new members during its recent 2017 Induction Ceremony. From left, they include Laura Ardner, Azeria

To be considered for membership in NAHS, students must successfully
complete one year of art with a B average, must maintain a B average in all
other classes, and must complete service projects each year.
The six young women mentioned above join other NAHS members in a group photo, shown below, including: Katarina Venditto, Morgan Bair, Colin Clever, Nathalie
Elliott, Trevor Kern, Chantelle Thornsberry, Alex Coble, Lauren Snell, Abbie
O’Leary, and Megan Gunzelman.
The group of 16 members is currently working to raise funds and awareness of the ever-present need to support Harvest of Hope and other food-support programs. The club will be sponsoring their annual Empty Bowl ice-cream social and bowl sale during Celebrate the Arts on May 7 to raise funds for Harvest of Hope, the local food pantry.
Members will be conducting free workshops to make decorative clay bowls on April 4 & April 24 at the high school. More information is available on the district web site at www.sgasd.org/events.
