September 29, 2020: Parent & Staff Communication - Revised Early Dismissal Times & Spectators at Athletic Events

Dear Rocket Families and Staff,

We have two important updates for you regarding dismissal times on early dismissal days and spectators at home athletic events.

An adjustment to the early dismissal times for SGI and Elementary K - 4 buildings was made to improve bus transportation routes on early dismissal days. A friendly reminder that our first early dismissal day occurs on Friday, October 9, 2020.

The revised early dismissal times are as follows:

  • High School & Middle School Grades 7 - 12 (remains the same): 10:30 AM
  • SGI Grades 5 & 6: 11:45 AM
  • Elementary Grades K - 4: 12:00 PM

At the September 28, 2020, School Board meeting, the Board voted to increase spectator limits resulting from changes to the Governor’s orders of July 16, 2020. The District is allowing a limited number of spectators at athletic events via district-issued passes only. The District-issued passes will be distributed to student-athletes, members of the marching band, and some student spectators.

General admission remains closed at this time and visiting team spectators are not allowed. For the convenience of all others, we invite and welcome everyone to watch the games and cheer for our Rockets at home via our live stream YouTube channels that can be found here:  For the safety of our student-athletes and personnel, please do not congregate on campus.

Even though it is limited, we are happy the updated numbers permit us to welcome more spectators at our home athletic events, especially for the families of our student-athletes, cheerleaders, and marching band members. Until such time as everyone can be in attendance, we know you will be cheering loudly at home for our Rockets.

Go Rockets!
