SGASD Designated Best Communities for Music Education 11 Years in a Row

The Spring Grove Area School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education! The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to school districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. This is SGASD's eleventh year in a row receiving the award!

To qualify for the Best Communities designation, the SGASD Music Department answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, support for the music program, and community music-making programs. The information is then reviewed and districts selected by The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.

At the June 27, 2022, Board of School Directors meeting, the Music Department was presented with the award from Joel Menchey, President of Menchey Music Service, Inc., and NAMM Representative, and Neal Gross, Menchey Music School Representative.

Congratulations to our Music Department!
