New Salem Elementary students and their families did a fantastic job with the 2022 Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser for the American Heart Association again this year! New Salem families raised $2,557.51! Mrs. Bortner is so proud of everyone that helped raise money for this very special organization.

Fourth grade student Grant Lutter was the top fundraiser for the school. Leanna Boyer, a second grade student, was the second best fundraiser in the building!  Mrs. Lairds’s seconders had the most total students contributing donations, with Mrs. Jamison’s class having the second most students donating.

Mrs. Laird’s second grade class collected the most donations overall, with $369.29! The second grade team collected a grand total of $826.86! The first graders also did a great job and collected a total of $538.44!

Mrs. Bortner and the American Heart Association would like to send out a sincere thank you to all of the students, their families and friends that helped raise money for our Kids Heart Challenge event at New Salem Elementary! The Kids Heart Challenge raises funds to help educate people of all ages about taking care of their bodies and supporting medical research to correct heart problems.

Great job New Salem Elementary!
