Kristen Henning Named Hanover Chamber Educator of the Year

hanover Chamber Educator of the Year Kristen Henning
Each year the Hanover Chamber of Commerce recognizes Educators of the Year at their Annual Business Awards. This year's Hanover Chamber Educator of the Year for Spring Grove Area School District is Mrs. Kristen Henning!
As you know, Mrs. Henning serves as the elementary-level Information Technology Specialist. Mrs. Henning leads with dedication and conviction and encourages others to join her in her journey of assisting others to become proficient, lifelong learners. She exudes an enthusiasm for teaching and learning that is contagious among students, and staff appreciate her daily efforts and respond with an equal amount of excitement as they study and learn new technology under her guidance.
Additionally, Mrs. Henning always seeks ways to support the overall mission of the School District. Specifically, she plays an integral part in the development of technology-related instructional strategies, which have become extremely important as we navigate the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. During this present school year, Mrs. Henning was forced to not only learn new ways of helping our children learn but also master skills to appropriately instruct teachers to effectively implement new strategies.
Mrs. Henning had this to say upon being awarded:
"I am humbled to accept this recognition - especially during this crazy time in education. I wouldn't have been as effective without my team, the support administrators, and the awesome hardworking teachers I have the privilege of working with each day.
I love working with teachers and students as we implement various types of technology into their instruction and learning. Specifically this year, we have all grown and learned so much about new methods of instruction, new tools to share and collect content, and of course working remotely when needed.
I am so proud of what we have accomplished and the efforts of so many as we transformed education this year for our students."
Congratulations, Mrs. Henning!
