Allison Hoschar Recognized by the City of York Human Relations Commission

February 2020

Allison Hoschar being recognized

Each year, the City of York Human Relations Commission asks for schools to nominate a student within their building for the Lewis Atwater award. The student chosen for the nomination “contributes to creating harmony and equality in their daily endeavors in the school community." The award is named after a William Penn Senior High School student who died from a football injury, and it is given to a high school senior who exemplifies Atwater's qualities.

This year, Allison Hoschar was nominated by staff member, Ms. Julia Snyder. Although she was not one of the six awardees selected, the Commission wanted to acknowledge her outstanding work representing the Commission’s ideals of harmony, justice, and equity in our school. Allison was joined by her family and members of the Spring Grove Area School District staff to celebrate her accomplishment.

Congratulations, Allison!
