SGAHS Student, Curtis Davis III, Recognized by the City of York Human Relations Commission

Curtis with Family

The City of York Human Relations Commission recognized Spring Grove Area High School student, Curtis Davis III for his outstanding contribution to human relations and rights. Curtis was nominated by his teacher, Mr. Steve Richards, for his contribution to SGAHS and the morning broadcast. Dr. Ken Woerthwein, Commissioner of the City of York Human Relations Commission presented Curtis with a Certificate of Acknowledgement.

This year, the City of York Human Relations Commission received fourteen Lewis Atwater Youth Award nominations. The resiliency and contributions that the nominees made in human relations/human rights were outstanding and made it an extremely difficult decision for the Commissioners to choose this year’s recipient. Therefore the Commission decided to recognize all of the students that were nominated.

Curtis was joined by his family and members of the Spring Grove Area School District staff to celebrate his accomplishment.
