The SGAHS National Honor Society is once again collecting food for the District-wide Fill-The-Bus campaign.
Every year we set out to fill an entire school bus with food to donate to local families through the Harvest of Hope food bank. The pantry currently serves approximately 800 people per month, serving the Spring Grove Area School District and parts of West York. Last year we collected 8,426.6 pounds of food for families in need.
This year, we will be collecting from November 1st to December 14th with a goal of 10,000 pounds of nonperishable food items. During the collection window, we will be attending holiday concerts, sporting events, and plays.
Some items of need include: cereal, boxed potatoes, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned pasta (i.e. spaghetti-O’s, beefaroni), hamburger helper, Mac and Cheese, peanut butter, soup, spaghetti sauce, canned tuna, and rice.
Any and all donations are appreciated. Please help us restock the pantry shelves after the holiday season and reach our goal!
