SGAHS Preschool Program Taking Registrations

coloring, glue, kids SGAHS Family and Consumer Sciences Department is offering a preschool program at SGAHS again this year. The program is held in the morning for thirteen Wednesdays. 


About the Program:
The preschool has been established to promote the most desirable growth in the areas of physical, social, and intellectual development in the children who attend and give high school students an opportunity to work with, study, and observe young children.


This is the routine we follow each Wednesday: 

  • Arrival
  • Storytime
  • Art activity
  • Music/movement activity
  • Motor skill activities
  • Snack
  • Puzzle time
  • Free play
  • Group game
  • Gather materials, backpacks, outerwear; distribute newsletter packet, walk children to the lobby

Arrival/Departure: In compliance with administrative procedures, children are to be brought to the high school foyer where Family and Consumer Sciences students will escort them to the Family and Consumer Sciences Suite. At the end of each session, you will pick up your child/children in the foyer.  No adults are permitted beyond the foyer.

If school is closed or delayed because of bad weather, preschool will be canceled for that day.

September 29, 2021 - January 5, 2022 

Age of Children:
2 1/2 -5 years of age and potty trained or close to being potty-trained.

$25.00 paid in full by cash or check at the time of registration. Please make checks payable to S.G.A.H.S. In memo section please write “FCS Dept.”
