April 27, 2022: 2022-2023 School Year Information

Rocket Families, 

As we prepare to finish the current school year, Spring Grove Area School District has been diligently planning for the 2022-2023 school year, and we know that you are beginning to plan as well. We understand that having as much advance notice as possible of next year’s school plans is helpful to you and your family. Please carefully read the information regarding the 2022-2023 school year provided below. 

SCHOOL HOURS FOR 2022-2023 

The school hours for the 2022-2023 school year are being adjusted slightly to better meet the needs of students and teachers within the parameters of our transportation system. All three elementary buildings, K – 4, will now be on the same schedule, and SGI students will remain on the elementary transportation schedule.  

  • All K – 4 Elementary Schools (NSE, PES, & SGE): 
    • School begins at 8:35 AM 
    • School ends at 3:15 PM 
  • Spring Grove Area Intermediate School (grades 5-6):  
    • School begins at 8:25 AM 
    • School ends at 3:05 PM 
  • Spring Grove Area Middle School (grades 7-8):  
    • School begins at 7:20 AM 
    • School ends at 2:05 PM 
  • Spring Grove Area High School (grades 9-12):  
    • School begins at 7:20 AM 
    • School ends at 2:05 PM 

2022-2023 BOARD APPROVED SCHOOL CALENDAR 

In February, the School Board approved the 2022-2023 school calendar that is available on the District website by clicking on the Calendar tab and scrolling to the bottom of the page. Early dismissal times will remain the same for the 2022-2023 school year, and they are as follows: 

  • All elementary buildings grades K-4: early dismissal at 12:00 PM 
  • Spring Grove Area Intermediate School grades 5-6: early dismissal at 11:45 AM 
  • All secondary buildings grades 7-12: early dismissal at 10:30 AM 

DISTRICT SOCIAL MEDIA 

In June, we will be combining each of our school building’s Twitter and Facebook accounts with the District's social media accounts. We hope that having centralized social media accounts will make it easier for our families to follow, share, and engage with the great things happening in the District.
