SGFlex Grades K-6

Lincoln EDGE partners with Imagine Learning to provide students with a robust curriculum and top-notch instructors.  The curriculum includes a blend of both online and offline learning activities.

All students will be enrolled in 4 core content courses (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies) and a minimum of 2 elective courses. Students in grades K-5 will have one teacher assigned to facilitate all courses.  Students in grade 6 will have a different teacher assigned for each course. 

Live tutoring is available on demand via Imagine Learning seven days per week. 

Under the direction of the Learning Coach (adult at home), elementary students will work through the Imagine Learning curriculum.

Learning Coaches should expect to spend 2 to 6 hours per day working with each child to:

• Gather, manage, and organize course materials, as needed.
• Help the child understand what to do each day and how to do it.
• Guide the child through all online and offline activities to help the child develop foundational math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ensure that the child attends all required live online sessions.

Parent involvement in student learning is very important!  Elementary students will need support at home - parents should expect to spend time each day engaging with their students to facilitate learning.

Lincoln EDGE will calculate weekly attendance using the following metrics:

• Pacing
• Time-on-task

School Calendar and Submitting Absences

State law requires that students attend school for 180 days per year. In compliance with this law, the SGFlex Program will follow the Spring Grove Area School District’s Calendar. By its nature, SGFlex provides a unique amount of academic flexibility, yet it must adhere to Board Policy 204 (Attendance). 

Parents/Guardians are responsible for providing an excuse “note” to verify a reason for any absence within 3 days of the absence period. Student absence excuse forms must be completed and submitted via the Sapphire Community Web Portal. 

Lincoln EDGE provides all students with a ChromeBook and a mobile hotspot. They also provide in-house technical support.
