JANUARY is set aside as Board Recognition Month. Spring Grove Area School District joins PA School Boards Association (PSBA) and other PA school districts in recognizing our board members for their volunteer service to students, our school district, and our community.
School Director Recognition Month was established to honor members of local boards of education for their commitment to provide quality public education for Pennsylvania’s school children. School directors generously contribute their time and talents toward the advancement of public education. They establish policies that provide the framework for our public schools. They represent their local communities and attend sometimes lengthy and challenging meetings, conferences, and institutes for professional learning and understanding of public education.
These nine dedicated volunteers reside in our community. They are our friends, neighbors, community leaders, parents, and engaged citizens. Although we make a special effort to show appreciation to school directors during the month of January, their contribution is a year-round commitment, and deep appreciation is ALWAYS extended to them.
We invite you to attend the Monday, January 27, 2020, regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of School Directors, when representatives from PSBA, the community, and the Spring Grove Area School District will take a few moments to publicly recognize our nine-member School Board. Take the opportunity to acknowledge thousands of public servants who make the time to share their vision and voice about the future of Pennsylvania children, and JOIN US IN SAYING "THANK YOU!" (The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the board room of the Educational Service Center, located at 100 East College Avenue, Spring Grove, PA.)
