The purpose of the social studies department at Spring Grove High School is to provide instruction within the disciplines of the social sciences, including history, government, economics, anthropology, philosophy, geography, psychology, religion, and sociology.
Our goal as a department is to help our students prepare to meet or exceed the required Pennsylvania state standards.
With members holding graduate degrees in History, Education, Educational Leadership, and Public Administration students are given the opportunity to challenge themselves in honors and advanced placement courses.
Our focus is to prepare students to be content literate and academically successful. They will be prepared, informed, and responsible citizens who are life long learners. Upon graduation, students will have the necessary skills needed to lead meaningful and productive lives in a culturally diverse world.
