SGI Student Earns Second Place in Writing Contest


SGI student Hadley Thompson earned second place in the Junior Poetry category of the The Hershey Story History Contest for Young Writers for her poem, “The Fall of Pompeii.” Selected from hundreds of entries, Hadley’s work was recognized for its creativity and strong use of poetic devices.

Contest judges praised the poem for its vivid writing and ability to place readers in the action. One judge specifically noted that the poem utilizes “strong poetic devices and places the reader in the action.”

Hadley’s achievement is a wonderful recognition of her talent and hard work!
