SGE Unveils Their New Book Vending Machine
Spring Grove Elementary (SGE) recently unveiled its brand-new Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine. This exciting addition to the school was made possible thanks to a generous grant from the Spring Grove Area Educational Fund, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to enhancing Learning Without Limits.
The SGE PTO has taken on the responsibility of stocking the vending machine with books and maintaining the machine for its young readers. The unveiling of this unique vending machine has generated an immense buzz throughout the school, and the students are so excited.
This innovative project is set to incentivize students to earn books, fostering a love for reading and increasing literacy rates among the SGE community. Moreover, it ties in seamlessly with Project TEAM, an initiative aimed at improving school culture through positive behavior experiences.
Through this project, Spring Grove Elementary also aims to strengthen the connections between the school, students' homes, and the wider community. Exemplary students will be recognized in various ways, from face-to-face interactions in classrooms to announcements during the school's morning broadcasts and mentions in newsletters.
The Inchy Bookworm Vending Machine is not just a fun addition to the school; it's a testament to SGE's dedication to nurturing a love for reading, fostering a sense of community, and helping students excel in their academic journey.
Special thank you to Dr. Emily Sprenkle and the SGE Reading Specialist Team for proposing and leading this initiative!
