Bob Smith, Friends of Athletics Inductee
Bob Smith was very active with the Spring Grove Athletic Booster Club. He was an integral part of the Booster Club, assisting with the
concession stand for over 50 years from 1965 to 2019. He stepped away from the concession stand in 2019 because of missing his grandkids' football games.
Bob was instrumental in starting the Spring Grove Boys Club (Jets) in 1969. The Spring Grove Jets competed in the league for the first time in 1970, thanks to Bob’s hard work. He coached the rinks and midgets for several years. The midgets won two championships with him as head coach.
