About the Athletic Hall of Fame

The Rocket Athletic Hall of Fame honors the very best in Rocket Athletics' history to preserve the heritage and tradition of athletic excellence at Spring Grove Area High School. This special honor recognizes members of the Spring Grove family who have distinguished themselves as outstanding contributors to athletics at Spring Grove Area High School and possibly beyond.

The Hall of Fame honors student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and longtime and distinctive supporters of the Athletic Department.

Cody Becker, 2004, Student-Athlete Inductee

Wrestling

• 4 x District 3 Qualifier

• 2 x PIAA State Qualifier

• 2 x Sectional Champion

• 2004: District 3 Runner Up

• 118 Career Wins

• SG Wrestling Alumni of the Year

• Captain of 3 sports his senior year (Football, Wrestling, and Baseball)

• Inducted into District 3 Wrestling Hall of Fame

College Career (Millersville University)

• 2007: Won NCAA East Regional Title at 149

• 2006 and 2007: Qualified for Nationals at Division 1 level

• Senior Season: Earned the Theodore Rupp Award (Team’s Most Valuable Wrestler)

• 84 Career College Wins

Brian Little, 1987, Student-Athlete Inductee

Cross Country 

• 1983: 27th place YCIAA and 32nd place Cross Country District 3

• 1984: PIAA Cross Country Qualifier, 3rd place YCIAA, and 11th place Cross Country District 3

• 1985: 2nd place YCIAA, 6th place Cross Country District 3, and 19th place PIAA State Championships

• 1986: 1st place Cross Country YCIAA, 3rd place District 3, and 3rd place PIAA State Championships

• 1986: YCIAA Cross Country Runner of the Year

• 1985: Daily Record All Star Team

Track 

• 1986: 2nd place 3200 meter - YCIAA Track Championship

• 1986: 7th place 3200 meter - District 3 Championship

• 1987: Set SGHS 3200 meter record 9:30

• 1987: 3rd place 3200 meter - YCIAA Track Championship

• 1987: 1st place 3200 meter - District 3 Championship

Received a scholarship to West Virginia University for Cross Country and Track

College Career (East Stroudsburg University)

• All-PSAC sophomore year

• 4-time All-PSAC honoree

• PSEC East Athlete of the Year sophomore year

• Led team to the first Division 2 tournament 

• Set East Stroudsburg University records for attacks and sets

• 2017: Inducted into East Stroudsburg University Hall of Fame

• Jenks Landis was part of a mixed doubles team that advanced to the state tournament
• Craig Diehl and Brian Paley competed as a doubles team and advanced to the state finals, finishing as state runners-up
