At the August 29, 2025, home varsity football game, the 2025 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees will be honored at halftime. Congratulations to Kevin Laughman, Hayley Norton, Gregg Trone, and their families! 

About the Athletic Hall of Fame

The Rocket Athletic Hall of Fame honors the very best in Rocket Athletics' history to preserve the heritage and tradition of athletic excellence at Spring Grove Area High School. This special honor recognizes members of the Spring Grove family who have distinguished themselves as outstanding contributors to athletics at Spring Grove Area High School and possibly beyond.

The Hall of Fame honors student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and longtime and distinctive supporters of the Athletic Department.

Kevin Laughman, 1995, Student-Athlete Inductee

Kevin Laughman

Cross Country:

  • 3-time District 3 AAA Qualifier

  • 1993 YAIAA Cross Country Champion

  • 1993 District 3 AAA – 5th Place Finish

  • 1993 PIAA State Qualifier

Track & Field:

  • 2-time District 3 AAA Qualifier

  • 1995 YAIAA Champion – 4x800 Meter Relay

  • Holds school record for most home runs in a season: 9

  • 1st Team All-State: 2013 & 2015

  • 2nd Team All-State: 2014

  • YAIAA Player of the Year: 2013 & 2015

  • YAIAA 2nd Team: 2014

Gregg Trone, Coach Inductee

Gregg Trone

Football Coach 

  • 20 years as Varsity Head Football Coach

  • 12 years on Junior High Football Staff

  • First Spring Grove coach to win a district playoff game (19–3 vs. Mechanicsburg in 2000)

  • Coached three YAIAA Division 1 Championship teams: 1991, 2000, 2001

  • Named YAIAA Division 1 Coach of the Year in 1991 and 2000

  • Career record includes over 83 wins
