SGAMS Students Participate in Junior Achievement YES! Day

SGAMS Students Participate in Junior Achievement YES! Day

Last Friday, September 13, 2024, students at Spring Grove Area Middle School engaged in Junior Achievement's YES! day—Your Economic Success. This event aimed to help students appreciate the impact of financial and career decisions on their futures.

7th graders explored opportunities in manufacturing and distribution, learned about various career paths, and discussed the relationship between education levels and job opportunities. They also gained insights into the difference between soft and hard skills essential for success in the workforce.

8th graders focused on practical skills, including interviewing techniques, resume building, and budgeting. Through interactive activities, students developed a better understanding of the financial and career choices that will shape their lives as young adults.

The program was coordinated by Junior Achievement and featured volunteers who shared their backgrounds and experiences with the students, providing valuable real-world insights. Thank you to everyone involved for making this event a success and for supporting our students' growth and development!
