SGAMS Student Successfully Auditions for York Junior Symphony Orchestra
Congratulations to Spring Grove Area Middle School student Connor Shaffer, who successfully auditioned for the York Junior Symphony Orchestra! Not only did he successfully audition, but he also earned a seat in the first part section of the YJSO violins!
The YJSO is typically comprised of 75-100 members and is represented by students in York, Adams, and Lancaster County. Auditions are held in August and the YSJO members dedicate themselves to approximately twenty rehearsals from September to April. They present two full orchestra concerts annually, and individual members and ensembles of the orchestra support performing arts in the community by providing various free performances in York and surrounding areas as well.
