SGAHS Students Repurpose Gym Floor for Ticket Booth Surround

Students in Mr. Sokolovich’s Design and Fabrication 2 class at Spring Grove Area High School have completed a new surround for the ticket booth and snack bar outside the Rohrbaugh Family Auditorium.

The previous surround needed replacement, and the STEM/Technology Department took on the challenge. Using pieces of the old gym floor from recent renovations, students created a functional and meaningful upgrade while preserving a piece of SGAHS history.

“This was a great opportunity for students to apply their skills in a real-world project,” said Mr. Sokolovich. “They took ownership from design to installation and should be proud of the result.”

This project showcases the students’ creativity and hands-on learning, reinforcing the school’s commitment to STEM education. Great job to Mr. Sokolovich’s class!
