SGAHS Students Experience WWI Trench Warfare in History Class

Spring Grove Area High School students in Mrs. Miranda’s U.S. History II class have been learning about the causes and battles of World War I. After exploring the origins of the conflict and researching military innovations, students participated in an immersive trench warfare simulation.

The simulation gave students a hands-on understanding of the difficulties soldiers faced in WWI, including the challenges of life in the trenches. In their next lesson, students will write letters from the perspective of WWI soldiers, incorporating details about new military technology and the dangers of trench warfare.

Mrs. Miranda’s class extends their thanks to all who have served and continue to serve our country.
