SGAHS Odyssey of the Mind Team Wins 2nd Place at State Finals
The Spring Grove Area High School Odyssey of the Mind team has qualified for World Finals after an impressive performance at the Pennsylvania State Tournament last weekend. Competing in Division III, Problem 5: AstronOMical Odyssey, they placed second out of eleven teams!
Team members Alyssa Beyer, Maceo Mobley, Faith Champagne, Carolina Richards, Kayden O’Quinn, and Keifer Lorey, under the guidance of advisor Paxton Drumheller, showcased outstanding creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving as they tackled one of the competition's most imaginative and challenging problems.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international program that challenges students to solve open-ended problems requiring creative thinking and teamwork. Earning second place at the state level is a significant achievement that reflects months of hard work, planning, and practice.
