Paradise Elementary Students Complete Girls on the Run 5K

A group of Paradise Elementary students recently celebrated the completion of the Girls on the Run program by participating in a 5K event on Sunday, April 26, at York College.

Girls on the Run is a nationally recognized program designed to inspire students to be joyful, healthy, and confident. Throughout the program, participants take part in engaging lessons and activities that focus on building self-esteem, developing strong relationships, and making responsible decisions. Running is used as a tool to reinforce these life skills, with each practice helping students build endurance while also learning valuable social and emotional skills.

The season culminates in a celebratory 5K event, where participants set a goal and work together to achieve it. For many students, crossing the finish line represents more than just completing a race. It reflects weeks of dedication, perseverance, and personal growth.

The success of the program is made possible by the commitment of the volunteer coaches who guide and encourage students throughout the season. Their support helps create a positive and empowering experience for every participant.
