New Salem Trades Showcase
On May 3, New Salem Elementary's first and second graders participated in Trades Showcase Day. Six Spring Grove Area High School students talked with the elementary students about their STEM classes and future trade careers. The high school students read a book about a trade, brought "tools" of their trade to show the students, and handed out STEM-themed coloring pages.
It was a wonderful way to showcase trades careers to the elementary students and the future classes they could take. We're not sure who had more fun, the high school students or the first and second graders!
