Musical Excellence
Spring Grove Area High School was proudly represented at the 2025 York County Encore Awards on April 27, as students Addison Buffalos, Sky Beck, Lucas Buhrman, and Katelyn Wastler performed a portion of the school’s spring musical, The Music Man.
The Encore Awards, hosted annually in York County, offer high school students the opportunity to present a segment of their school’s musical production before a panel of industry professionals. Each participating school has up to eight minutes and a maximum of two musical numbers to impress the judges and earn scholarships for standout performers.
Among the standout achievements from the evening was senior Lucas Buhrman, who was recognized with not one, but two awards. He was named a $1,000 Scholarship Winner and also received a $500 W. Dale Brougher Foundation Performance Award scholarship for his exceptional performance.
Congratulations to all four students for their powerful and professional representation of Rocket Nation on stage, and a special round of applause to Lucas Buhrman for his well-deserved accolades!
