Ella Bahn Caps Senior Season with Gold Medal Sweep

Spring Grove Area High School senior Ella Bahn delivered another standout performance at the 2026 PIAA Track and Field Championships, earning two more gold medals and finishing her incredible high school career with a total of 7 state titles!

Ella was crowned State Champion in the 300M Hurdles for the fourth consecutive year! She also took home gold in the 100M Hurdles!

State Championship Results:

• Ella Bahn: State Champ in the 300M Hurdles for the fourth year in a row, setting a new SG school record of 41.29 (breaking her previous record of 41.98 from 2024)
• Ella Bahn: State Champ in the 100M Hurdles - three time 100M Hurdles State Medalist
• Andrew Gerber: 4th place, 400M Dash, also setting a new SG school record of 48.78 (breaking the previous mark set in 1977 by Jeff Noel!)
• Boys 4x100 Relay - Cam Hoff, Andrew Gerber, Davon Melbourne, Bredon Smith: 4th place

Just one week earlier, at the 2026 PIAA District 3 Track & Field Championships, Spring Grove brought home several gold medals as well!

District 3A Championship Results:

• Ella Bahn: District Champ in both the 100 and 300M Hurdles for the fourth year in a row
• Andrew Gerber: District Champ in the 400M; 8th Place, 200M
• Boys 4x100 Relay: Cam Hoff, Andrew Gerber, Davon Melbourne, Bredon Smith - District Champs 
• Cam Hoff - 6th Place, 110M Hurdles
• Boys 4x400 Relay: Ben Tunney, Andrew Gerber, Bredon Smith, Davon Melbourne - 5th Place 
• Bredon Smith - 7th Place, 200M
