9th Grade Student Places 3rd in Stock Market Challenge

Azra Mujic, a 9th-grade student, placed third in the state in the Bright Financial Futures Stock Market Challenge, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy.

Azra participated in the contest as part of her Introduction to Business course taught by Mrs. Nicci Riser. The challenge allows students to explore financial skills through simulations of real-life investing scenarios, giving them experience with market analysis, decision-making, and portfolio management.

At the conclusion of the challenge, Azra’s portfolio reached an equity value of $118,767.43, representing an 18.77% return on her investments.

The Bright Financial Futures Stock Market Challenge is designed to build financial literacy by giving students hands-on experience with investment concepts in a simulated environment.
