2025 International Thespian Society Inductees

On Thursday, April 3, Spring Grove Area High School’s International Thespian Society Troupe 6897 inducted seventeen new members and recognized twelve graduating seniors during its annual ceremony.

Congratulations to the Senior Class of 2025, including this year’s Troupe officers:

• President: Lucas Buhrman

• Vice President: Logan Bergels

• Secretary: Katelyn Wastler

• Treasurer: Rosemary Lawson

• Publicist: Sophia Fontana

• Members: Alyssa Beyer, Olivia Becker, Sky Beck, Hunter Ellis, Madeline Hnatkowicz, and Amberle Meckley

Five students earned the prestigious title of National Honor Thespian:
Logan Bergels, Sophia Fontana, Rosemary Lawson, Gavin Minetola, and Katelyn Wastler.

Senior Lucas Buhrman was named an International Honor Thespian, the highest ITS recognition, awarded for exceptional dedication to theatre and the arts.

This ceremony also marked a major milestone for the Troupe’s long-time director, Mrs. Claire Shubert. After more than 20 years of inspiring SG Thespians, Mrs. Shubert is retiring from her role. We thank her for her extraordinary leadership and unwavering commitment to student expression and the performing arts.

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome Mrs. Rhonda Wastler as the new Troupe Director and Ms. Lindsay Boritz as Assistant Director for the 2025-2026 school year.
