2024 Excellence in Education Teacher Award

Congratulations to Mr. Joshua Newark, a Spring Grove Area High School teacher, for being selected as this year's Excellence in Education Teacher Award recipient!

Established in 2022 by the 2022 senior class officers, the Senior Class Award for Excellence in Education is given annually to a Spring Grove Area High School classroom teacher. The teacher is selected by the senior class members through a secret balloting process. 

The recipient of this award consistently demonstrates the qualities of both a positive role model and an exemplary educator. This teacher exhibits a passion for the subject material, which he/she shares with students to foster a love of learning. This teacher maintains high standards and expectations for all students while remaining responsive and flexible because this teacher believes that all students can succeed. In addition, this teacher displays compassion and consideration for students through a willingness to go beyond the bell. Above all, this teacher is dedicated to the profession and the students he/she impacts.
