Transportation
SGASD provides bus transportation to families within the District whose children attend SGASD schools, as well as local non-public schools. The Transportation Department handles arrangements for approximately 4,000 students over a 93-square-mile area. The District contracts with Krise Transportation, Inc. to provide these services.

Transportation Delay Notifications
Parents/guardians will receive a text and voice message from our Sapphire Notification System if their child’s bus or van is delayed by 15 minutes or more. Messages are only sent for the specific vehicle your child normally rides, even if they aren’t riding that day.
These alerts come from the same system used for district and school updates like weather closings. If someone else handles your child’s pickup or drop-off, please share the message with them.
