PA Tax Rent Rebate Program
The State of Pennsylvania administers a property tax/rent rebate program. If you meet certain income guidelines and are over the age 65, a widow/widower over age 50, or disabled over age 18, you may be eligible for assistance through Pennsylvania's Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program. We encourage those residents to contact the York County Office of Aging 717-771-9610 or the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue 1-888-222-9190 for more information. Eligible participants can receive a rebate of up to $650 based on their property taxes or rent paid during the calendar year.
Property tax/rent rebate claim forms (PA-1000) and instructions are available through the Department of Revenue web site at PA Tax and Rent Rebate. Forms and assistance are also available at the department’s district offices (listed in the government section of local telephone directories), local area agencies on aging, senior centers, and state legislators’ offices.
Citizens may sign up to receive the form when it is available by calling 1-888-222-9190.
