How to Register for School
2025-26 Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten Registration for 2025-2026 School Year
Please note the minimum age for kindergarten: a child is eligible if he/she turns five (5) years old on or before August 31st of the school year in which he/she seeks admission.
Welcome to Kindergarten Registration for the 2025-2026 school year for the Spring Grove Area School District!
Our registration process begins with you creating a Sapphire Registration Portal account. For those of you with a student already in the district, please note that the Sapphire Registration Portal is NOT the same as a Community Web Portal account. You will need to create a Registration Portal account.
To register your student(s), you will need to fill out the registration form online and submit the required documents listed below via the Sapphire Registration Portal. It is helpful to gather and complete the necessary forms before beginning the online registration, but it is not required. You can stop and save your work in the Registration Portal as you progress. You will be given the opportunity to submit the required documents during the online registration process.
If you cannot submit the required forms online, you may fax them to our Enrollment Office at 717-225-0737 or email them to our Enrollment Office at enrollment@sgasd.org.

Registration Documents Needed to Enroll
Parents/guardians are REQUIRED to upload the following documents:
Complete the following documents ONLY IF IT APPLIES:
- Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan - English / Spanish
- Administration of Medication During the School Day (top portion to be completed by a physician) - English
- Asthma Action Plan (to be completed by a physician) - English / Spanish
- Contact List if Using District Transportation - English / Spanish
- English Language Development Information Form - English / Spanish
Proof of Residency
Proof of residency is required for enrollment. Below is the acceptable documentation by type of residency.
If You Own Your Home
Two documents are required as proof of residency. Choose one from each list of documents:
List #1 - Choose one from this list:
- Current Homeowners Insurance
- Current Mortgage Statement
- Full Closing Disclosure - 4 to 5 page document from settlement - signatures required
- Property Deed
- York County Tax Bill
List #2 - Choose one from this list:
- Current Utility Bill - Electric, Gas, Sewer, Water
- Current Cell Phone Bill
- Government Check Stub; Public Assistance; Social Security
- Paycheck Stub - with name and address of employee and employer
- Valid Vehicle Insurance Card
- Valid Vehicle Registration
If You Rent Your Home
Two documents are required as proof of residency. Choose one from each list of documents below:
List #1 - Choose one from this list:
- Full Lease Agreement - signatures required
- Renters Insurance
List #2 - Choose one from this list:
- Current Utility Bill - Electric, Gas, Sewer, Water
- Current Cell Phone Bill
- Government Check Stub; Public Assistance; Social Security
- Paycheck Stub - with name and address of employee and employer
- Valid Vehicle Insurance Card

If You Are Living With a District Resident
Two documents are required as proof of residency AND the Parental Residency Statement B Form must be completed.
One in the parent/guardian name and one in the resident's name:
- Current Homeowners Insurance
- Current Mortgage Statement

Sapphire Registration Portal
Please click the link below to access the online Sapphire Registration Portal. Again, the Sapphire Registration Portal is NOT the same as a Community Web Portal account where you access your child's grades, attendance, etc. This portal is only used for registration.
- When you access the page, click the "Create New Account" link*.
- *If you have previously created an account on the Registration Portal, you may use that same login information to re-access the Registration Portal. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password?" to reset your password and access your Registration Portal account.

- Once your account is created and/or you are logged in, please choose the correct school year for your child(ren)'s registration.
- Then click the "Create" button under "School Year Registration" to begin the registration process.
Kindergarten Readiness Screenings
After you have submitted your application and provided the required documents to complete your child’s registration, you should email enrollment@sgasd.org to select a kindergarten screening appointment time for your child.
Location:
The screening appointment will be at the Spring Grove Area Middle School at 244 Old Hanover Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362. Please park in the back of the building and enter at door #13.
