Real Estate Property Taxes

The Spring Grove Area School District levies a real estate tax on taxable properties in the district.  The school district real estate tax bill is mailed to property owners on or about July 15 of each year and covers the fiscal year from July 1 through June 30.  
 
For answers to questions about the district real estate tax bill, property owners can call the tax office at 717-225-4731 extension 3055, or e-mail taxoffice@sgasd.org.
 
Effective with the 2011-12 fiscal year, the district no longer levies the per capita and occupation taxes.  
 
Please note: Property owners in the Spring Grove Area School District can pay current School District real estate taxes using the following options:
 
  • Pay by credit card or electronic check by accessing our secure payment link with MuniciPay Nationwide Payment Solutions. MuniciPay Nationwide Payment Solutions charges a non-refundable fee for this service.  The fee for credit card transactions is 2.65% of the transaction amount with a minimum of $1.50.  The fee for an electronic check is $1.50.
     
  • By check, money order, or bank check - Make payable to the elected municipal tax collector listed on the tax bill, and mail to the address indicated on the tax bill.
     
  • The school district real estate property tax is collected by the elected tax collector for each municipality within the district.  For information on how to contact the elected tax collector(s), please see the chart below. You may pay your taxes in person during the sitting hours and location listed below for each elected tax collector.
