Additional Opportunities for Homeschool Students
Home-educated students may participate in any co-curricular activity that merges extracurricular activities with a required academic course, academic courses (equaling up to at least one-quarter of the school day for full-time students), and career and technical education (CTE) programs. Per Section 1327.1(f.2) (1)-(5) of the School Code, the Board of School Directors of the Spring Grove Area School District has adopted policies that provide the framework for the participation of home education students in such co-curricular activities, academic courses, and CTE programs. The administration has further established Administrative Regulations for implementing the named policies, addressing the necessary steps for a home education student’s participation in co-curricular and/or extracurricular activities and/or enrollment and attendance of students from home education programs into academic classes and CTE programs. Policies and Administrative Regulations are linked below.
