HACC

  • If you have registered for a college in the high school class through HACC for 2022-2023 school year and you or a parent attended the HACC presentation on Thursday, February 11th, this information was covered during that presentation.  If you were not able to attend, please feel free to watch the video by going  here.
     
    Please note that next steps include:
     
    Completing your application and enrollment form through HACC.edu (If you are taking a CHS class this year you do not need to complete this step again)
    Completing your electronic signature page (If you are taking a CHS class this year you do not need to complete this step again)

    HACC College in the High School Process

    Once you have completed College in the High School courses and need transcripts showing proof of earned credit through HACC, please follow these steps for requesting a transcript:

    • Online - You can request an official transcript online through your MyHACC, under the Registration/Records tab, under Student Records, select Request a Transcript, and click the Request an Official Transcript link. 
      You can also go directly to the National Student Clearinghouse at: www.nationalstudentclearinghouse.org
    • Welcome Center - You can request your official transcript at any HACC - Welcome Center.
      Our Welcome Center Staff will have you complete Official Transcript Request Form, containing your personal information and recipient address. They will assist you with processing your $6.00 payment of cash, card, check, or money order for the official transcript fee.
    • Registrar - You can request your official transcript from the Registrar located on the Harrisburg Campus at the Ted Lick Administration Building, Room 105.  *Please be aware, the Registrar can ONLY process payments of a money order or check.

    To request your official transcript you will need:

    • Your personal information (first, last name, date of birth, Social Security Number or HACCid, and contact information)
    • The correct recipient information for your future institution or employer
    • $6.00 cash, money order, check, or debit/credit card (VISA, MasterCard, and Discover)

    To obtain an unofficial transcript, which is free:

    You can view and print your unofficial transcript online through your MyHACC, under the Registration/Records tab, under Student Records, select Request a Transcript, and click the View/Print My Unofficial Transcript link.

Harrisburg University

  • It is our pleasure to announce the partnership of Spring Grove Area School District and Harrisburg University to offer your student a Dual Enrollment opportunity for their Human Anatomy & Physiology course and AP Chemistry Courses.

     

    Chemistry 151:

    This is a 3-credit course in General Chemistry I. Topics for this course deal with the structure, bonding, properties, and reactions of matter. Much of this content was covered in Chemistry I Honors and will be reviewed in AP Chem. This content will be covered in Semester 1 at SGHS.

    Chemistry 152:

    This is a one credit lab course, which accompanies Chemistry 151. It must be taken concurrently with Chemistry 151, per HU requirement. All Chemistry 152 labs at HU and SGHS are virtual and will be for the duration of the pandemic.

    Chemistry 161:

    This is three credit course in General Chemistry II. Topics for this course deal with thermodynamics, reaction kinetics, chemical equilibrium, electrochemistry, and acid base equilibrium. These will be covered in the second semester at SGHS.

    Chemistry 162:

    This is a one credit lab course, which accompanies Chemistry 161. It must be taken concurrently with Chemistry 161, per HU requirement. All Chemistry 162 labs at HU are virtual and will be for the duration of the pandemic.

    *****(Students who are successful in AP Chemistry will have covered all the content in each of these courses can choose to take either four credits or all eight credits.  Students choosing four credits will enroll in Chemistry 151 and 152. Students choosing eight credits will enroll in Chemistry 151 and 152 and 161 and 162.)*****
