Headshot of Dr. Mary Beth Grove Dr. Grove was appointed by the Board of School Directors as Assistant Superintendent of the Spring Grove Area School District, effective July 1, 2016.
    Dr. Grove received a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Frostburg State University, a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Western Maryland College, and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Immaculata University. She holds Pennsylvania Certification in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Elementary Principal, and Supervisor of Elementary Education. She also holds a Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent Letter of Eligibility.

    Dr. Grove has been in public education for over 32 years. She has experience as an elementary classroom teacher, an Instructional Support Teacher, an Assistant Principal, and a Principal, most recently at East York Elementary School in the York Suburban School District. In addition, Dr. Grove has extensive expertise in curriculum development, school safety, and strategic planning, as well as both planning and implementing data-driven student interventions. Dr. Grove received the prestigious honor of being selected as the 2015 PAESSP National Distinguished Principal for the state of Pennsylvania.
