SGI 6th Grade Cultural Day Letter to Families with Sign-up Link
Dear 6th Grade Families,
We are having our Annual Cultural Day Event for our 6th grade students here at SGI on THURSDAY, MARCH 30th!! We are in need of volunteers and monetary donations to help with our day so that we can make it a success for this year’s class. PLEASE consider donating your time and/or a monetary donation to assist with this year’s Cultural Day!
If you have your clearances and are available between the hours of 11:45 AM and 2:45 PM, we would greatly appreciate your time and/or donations! Don't forget to wear your volunteer badge and sign in at the office!
Here are ways you can assist:
We will need help setting up tables, possible food pick-up at local restaurants, distributing food samples and drinks, and cleaning up afterwards. If you know of any local restaurants that can donate food, please let us know as soon as possible! Donations of small sample cups are needed as well. We are also in need of monetary donations. They would be greatly appreciated so we can purchase the items needed for the day and other foods the students can sample.
*There is a website link where you can quickly sign up to volunteer at:
https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0945ABAD2CA3FF2-2023
(OR)
*Please list your contact information at the bottom portion of this newsletter and have your child return it to their teacher. Someone will contact you about your desire to help.
This is an annual event that students have really enjoyed. We have presenters from a variety of different cultures share about their cultures and students also get to taste cuisine.
If you need further assistance regarding the event, please reach out to Mr. Myers at myersch@sgasd.org. We look forward to another successful Cultural Day Event!
Sincerely,
SGI 6th grade teachers

2022-2023 CAR RIDER PICK-UP DIAGRAM
We will form two lines around the perimeter of the Windy Hill Parking Lot for car-rider pick-up. Please enter the loop as shown at # 2 in the diagram, and when you get to # 3, please choose your desired lane depending on your exit direction. **NOTE** if you are traveling toward the high school after picking up your intermediate student, please stay to the right in the car rider loop. If traveling toward the traffic light on Roth's Church Road, please stay to the left in the car rider loop. The safety of our students is our utmost concern, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our car riders safe.
