Welcome to the Spring Grove Area School District! We look forward to assisting you and your child(ren) through the registration process. Please select the appropriate tab below for information on how to register your child.

K-12 Registration for the 2023-24 School Year
Please note the minimum age for kindergarten: a child is eligible if he/she turns five (5) years old on or before August 31st of the school year in which he/she seeks admission.
Welcome to Registration for the 2023-2024 school year for the Spring Grove Area School District!
Our registration process begins with you creating a Sapphire Registration Portal account. For those of you with a student already in the district, please note that the Sapphire Registration Portal is NOT the same as a Community Web Portal account. You will need to create a Registration Portal account.
To register your student(s), you will need to fill out the registration form online and submit the required documents listed below via the Sapphire Registration Portal. It is helpful to gather and complete the necessary forms before beginning the online registration, but it is not required. You can stop and save your work in the Registration Portal as you progress. You will be given the opportunity to submit the required documents during the online registration process.
If you cannot submit the required forms online, you may fax them to our Enrollment Office at 717-225-0737 or email them to our Enrollment Office at thomassd@sgasd.org.
Registration DocumentsParents/guardians are required to upload the following documents:
- Birth Certificate or Passport
- Immunization Record
- Proof of Residency:
- ONE of the following must be in the parent/guardian name: driver’s license w/ change of address card if needed, signed lease agreement, utility bill, car registration, or signed closing disclosure from recent settlement.
- ONE of the following must be in the parent/guardian name: driver’s license w/ change of address card if needed, signed lease agreement, utility bill, car registration, or signed closing disclosure from recent settlement.
- If you are not the natural (birth) parent(s), you must present proof of custody.
- School Physical Exam Form (To be completed by a physician. If your student doesn’t turn 5 until the summer, you may turn this in at that time.) - English / Spanish
Complete and upload the following documents only if it applies to your child(ren):- Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Emergency Care Plan - English / Spanish
- Administration of Medication During the School Day (top portion to be completed by a physician) - English
- Asthma Action Plan (to be completed by a physician) - English / Spanish
- Contact List if Using District Transportation - English / Spanish
- English Language Development Information Form - English / Spanish
Sapphire Registration PortalPlease click the link below to access the online Sapphire Registration Portal. When you access the page, please click "Create New Account" to begin the registration process. Again, the Sapphire Registration Portal is NOT the same as a Community Web Portal account where you access your child's grades, attendance, etc. This portal is only used for registration.
If you have created an account on the Registration Portal in the past, you may use that same login information to access the Registration Portal again. If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password?" to reset your password and access your Registration Portal account.

Kindergarten Readiness Screenings
After you have submitted your application and provided the required documents to complete your child’s registration, you should email Dolly Thomassy at thomassd@sgasd.org to select a kindergarten screening appointment time for your child.
Location:
The screening appointment will be at the Spring Grove Area Middle School at 244 Old Hanover Road, Spring Grove, PA 17362. Please park in the back of the building and enter at door #13.
Screenings are being scheduled on the following days:
- Spring Grove Elementary
- Tuesday, March 14; 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM OR
- Wednesday, March 15; 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
- New Salem Elementary
- Wednesday, March 15; 48:00 AM - 7:30 PM OR
- Thursday, March 16; 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM
- Paradise Elementary
- Tuesday, March 14; 4:00 PM - 7:30 PM OR
- Thursday, March 16; 8:00 AM - 7:30 PM
- Birth Certificate or Passport
